Grissini Ristorante - Agoura Hills, CA

Grissini's is very far from where I live but I've been here twice now. Mainly because of this event. This is my carbo load restaurant of choice when I am in this area doing a race. Ok, so running a 10K race probably doesn't warrant any carbo loading but who needs a reason when pasta is involved.

I really like the inside of this place. I don't know why but it feels really homey.

Complimentary Parmesan flatbread...

...served with an olive tapenade.

Grissini's breadsticks. I saw these packaged up and being sold at Whole Foods. I purchase these for parties all the time and never realized they were one and the same.

Carpaccio di Pera, that means really good salad in Italian or thinly sliced pear salad, who can tell. ;)

The thing I love about this place is that they have so many pasta choices. They have fresh pastas and regular dry pastas and they have them in every shape and size imaginable. Frutti di mare (seafood based pasta sauce).

Sister K was with me on this trip and this is her Panna Cotta.

I guess this place is always kind of dark on the inside. Mood lighting! :)

Fresh tri-colored spaghetti in a Arrabbiata sauce.

Lasagna

Pappa al Pomodoro

Creme Brulee

Chocolate Mousse
