Susie Cakes will be celebrating their 5th birthday on August 13th! They are throwing a party of course!
So I have to say that I am in love with these! The one on the left is Red Velvet and on the right is Peanut Butter Chocolate. These cupcakes are now my favorite! Especially the Red Velvet one. The selection is not large but they cover their bases. The cake is moist and the frosting is not too sweet. It is everything a cupcake should be. I wish I had some now. I got a Red Velvet for M, he doesn't normally care where cupcakes come from. But as soon as he bit into these cupcakes, he turned to me and asked where these were from. I said, "why do you ask...you don't normally ask?" He said, "I ask because these are *SO* good!" I know exactly what he was talking about. I guess I know where to go buy someone's birthday cake coming up very soon. ;)

Hi Madison,
You've done a terrific job on your blog, and I have enjoyed looking through it. I'm a new runner myself (about a year and a half) Ran in a 5k & 2 10k races. Though I'm a lot older than you, I think we are a like in many ways. I love to eat, but I really LOVE cupcakes & toying with the idea of building a cupcake review blog myself. There's a Susie Cakes in our area as well and the Red Velvet & PB Choc. are both my faves too. Have you ever been to the Spectrum in Irvine? If so, check out the cupcake shop there called Sweet Spot. I was there last Spring with my daughter & friends. The cake is very much like Susie's. You have the options of building your cupcake too!
Hi Teresa,
Thanks for reading! I'm rooting you on in building up that cupcake review blog. I will go and check out Sweet Spot soon. Thanks for the note!
Glad you liked them. I'll need to stop and get some myself now!
