Beard Papa's & Mousse Fantasy Sweet Cafe - Los Angeles, CA

This here is Beard Papa and when you see his face you know that cream puffs are not too far behind. Beard Papa's a bakery chain specializing in cream puffs. Sure they have other things here, not much, they are known for cream puffs. So if that is not what you are looking for then you might as well go elsewhere.

You can get cream puffs here filled with Vanilla or Chocolate custard. The Vanilla one comes in either a plain shell or a Cookie shell. The chocolate custard puff is dusted with coco powder. You can also get the vanilla or chocolate puff dipped in chocolate but then they become Eclairs and I think they cost a little bit more.

They fill your cream puff to order!

Baked donut rings. I wanted one but they were out. Sad!

From left to right: Chocolate, Vanilla in a Cookie shell (x2) and the one at the end is mine...

It was empty, void of custard filled goodness. I didn't know that it was even legal to order a cream puff without the cream but apparently anything goes here.

It really isn't the same without the creamy filling but I didn't want to feel left out, plus the shell is still really tasty on it's own.

In the same store as Beard Papa's is Mousse Fantasy Sweet Cafe which sells these cakes and is also a coffee shop. They are in the same store so I was confused and didn't know that they were different entities until we had to paid for our drinks on one side of the store and the cream puffs on the other side. I don't know if this is specific to just this location but that's just confusing.
