These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

I went out for my second to last long run before the Big Sur Marathon. Twelve strong miles in the book and I couldn't be more happy about it. I took it to the Back Bay where the running is always good and the wild flowers are currently in bloom and are just beautiful!

I took my car to get a wash after my long run because I don't think it has been washed since last fall. Terrible! Then I went home to clean up a bit and headed out with my honey to get my car smogged. There was a couple of cars ahead of me when I got to the car smog place so we took a little walk over to Panera Bread for some breakfast. I was starving by this point. I got some fruit, an egg on healthy grain bread and a hot cross roll because the egg sandwich was really small even for me. He got the French Toast bagel sandwich with sausage patty, egg and cheese. He said it was not good. He said the sweet bagel just did not go with the sausage and eggs. I've eaten at Panera a couple of times now and I've concluded that I don't really like the food here that much. Plus they are severely overpriced and there is nothing there that I can't get somewhere else for less and better tasting.

Backing up to Friday. I got flowers from my Honey! I love flowers and these were beyond beautiful. I love getting "Just Because" flowers. =P Everyone at work kept asking me if it was my birthday and it was fun to tell them, "nope, these are "just because" flowers".

Then for lunch I decided to head to Little Saigon for some che...

...and Banh Beo...oh wait, this isn't Banh Beo, this is Bun Bo Hue? How did that happen? Apparently the hostess gave me someone else's order and I didn't realize it until I was already a couple miles away. I took it to-go. D'oh! This was quite tasty so all is good in the universe again.

Finally, I've been doing some of this again...

...I had wanted to make a bunny in time for Easter! Mostly done with plenty of time to spare! This bunny knitted up pretty quickly and I like the way it turned out. It isn't quite finished yet. I still need to put some finishing touches on it but hopefully I will have it completed by Easter.

Dang! I missed you on the Back Bay. But then I suppose you wouldn't have waited until 5:30 PM to get started....
