Shortly after arriving at Knott's I was already hungry because I had ran 10 miles that morning. I remembered the smell of BBQ near the entrance of the park. I got this Teriyaki Grilled Chicken Sandwich. There were so many things wrong with this sandwich. For starters it was drowning in very salty sauce. The chicken was okay but the potato bread bun was crumbly and fell apart upon taking my first bite. Basically this sandwich was terrible at best. I ended up eating the chicken and piece of pineapple and tossed the rest.
Sister K order the Pulled Pork Sandwich topped with some fried onions. I had a bite and it was decent. She also skipped eating the bun.
And because lunch was not so good, I continue to search for more theme park "delights".
I think this is my first Funnel Cake ever! I know, can you believe that. It was pretty tasty! I hear that Knott's make one of the best ones. Yum!
Yum yum!!

My honey also got some Cherry Icee. Don't have a photo of that unfortunately.

This sign is pretty weird and creepy sounding.

We had a little side mission at Knott's. To find Knott's dip seasoning powder. A couple of years ago, one of Sister S and the B-I-L's friend gave her a couple of packets of dip seasoning powder from Knott's which makes some really tasty dip and she was running out. So we were on a mission. We asked around and was directed to this place, Sticks and Stones, but obviously that person did not know what they were talking about because all they sold in there were things made of sticks and stones. I know, can you imagine? The girl at the register however did manage to direct us to the General Store and we ended up finding it there. Success! The holiday dip is safe once again!

We had heard so many good things about Mrs. Knott's Chicken Restaurant so it was a no-brainer where we wanted to go for dinner. Unfortunately everyone else at the park had the same idea. There was an hour long wait to get a table.

We ended up going elsewhere for dinner but before we left we just had to get a couple of pieces to try.
The To-Go line was much more reasonable.
The chicken was delicious! The seasoning was spot on. I definitely need to come back another time to have a nice sit down meal inside the restaurant. Most definitely!
There is a bakery and gift shop connected to the Chicken To-Go place so I got a slice of Carrot Cake to go and it was really delicious. The cake was moist and had small pieces of pineapples in it. A nice addition in my opinion. Good frosting as well.
