The Good and the Bad Eats - a tale of eating at the Wholefood food court

So a couple of weeks ago, I wasn't feeling like going to track practice one Tuesday evening and somehow ended up at Wholefoods since it was dinner time. I think I went here to pick up a few grocery items but ended up wandering into the prepared food area. I live close to a very large Wholefoods with a large food court, this is a good and bad thing. Mostly bad for my wallet. Anyways, I found out that Wholefoods serves $1 tacos on Tuesdays and cheap happy hour beer/margaritas and aqua fresca type drinks.

Here is a bean and rice baja style taco with a side of guac.
Lemon bar that my dining companion ate. I tasted it, it was ok. Dining companion thought it was good.
Ok this thing....this was not good. It was THE worst red velvet cupcake I've ever had. So gross. Never again. Looks can be deceiving.
Vegan veggie pizza. I LOVE the vegan pizzas at Wholefoods. I haven't had pizza in a while and this is just so very good. One of my favs at Wholefoods.
I went back on another Tuesday and got another bean and rice taco with guac. It is so cheap and good.
I got this passion fruit sorbet because I cannot eat ice cream. I don't know why I got this, I don't really like this stuff. It is nothing like ice cream and it is always super sweet. I thought it was funny that instead of putting the actually passion fruit on display like the other flavors, they put passion fruit Jelly Beans because the actual fruit is just not attractive.

See? Not attractive. But they have really pretty flowers when in bloom. The fruit is not that nice to look at but the inside is really delicious. If you eat the inside fleshy seed part, make sure you wait until it is really ripe (the outside should look very wrinkled), otherwise it will be very sour. How did you like that digression?

Added 10/28/10: Came back one day for lunch and decided to hit up the Hot Food Bar and threw together a little bit of everything that looked good to me, which was a lot of things there. This came out to be around $6-$7but it filled me up and was really delicious.

I am soooo happy that with the traffic in the evenings it's kind of a pain in the butt to make it to Whole Foods. Otherwise my wllet would be like yours....
